Charleston - Long Post Warning

Last Thursday I flew out to South Carolina to spend some time with my cousin Jane. I was really excited about this trip, it has been in the works for awhile now and it was really good to get away for a few days. I will be posting pictures from the entire trip, but I decided to divide it into sections. My flight didn't arrive until after dark on Thursday, so no pictures then. Friday morning we set out to see Charleston. Here are some of my favorites! The above picture is just one of many amazing Churches on Church Street. I mean wow! This next picture is of a couple of Citadel cadets that were downtown. Aren't they cute?? I neglected to get their names, but they were very nice to stop and let this Texas girl take their picture.
For lunch Jane took me to a little restuarant right down the street from her office. Mistral...I can not say enough about their food. It was absolutely one of the best meals I have ever had, and trust me I know good food! I had the seared Salmon with Crab Hollondaise and some mixed veggies. Oh wait...First we had a crab dip for an appetizer that was just as good, next we had dessert. I forgot to take pictures of the meal, but did get some of the dessert! Double Chocolate Moose!

Jane laughing at me taking pictures of the food.....And Creme Broulei....sooooooooooooooooooo good. I just loved this tree in front of this historic home. Jane noticed these pots hanging on the wall inside the entrance of one of the homes, aren't they cute? Just a typical Charleston home. Believe it or not, one of the smaller ones! The landscaping was spectacular. I can't imagine having to keep that up, can you?
As Jane told me, this is just a typical South Carolina photo, mostly because it is very similar to their state falg, just check out the next picture. Replace the sun with the moon.
